The Prince Hall Free & Accepted Mason and Order of the Eastern Star Charitable Educational Foundation (PHFAMOESCEF) is sponsoring its second annual Summer Youth Enrichment Program for boys and girls ages 11–13, led by Brother Douglas Jones of John F. Cook Lodge No. 10.
The Men of Honor Foundation DC Chapter is also proud to introduce Her Honor Society, a sister class designed for girls ages 11–13. This new initiative is created to empower young women through leadership development, character building, mentorship, and meaningful engagement within a supportive community.
The program will be held with the Men of Honor Foundation DC Chapter on Saturdays. This program is designed for pre-teens aged 11-13.
Her Honor Society will provide a safe and inspiring space where participants can grow in confidence, build lasting friendships, and develop skills that will serve them for years to come.
Registration for boys and girls is now open (click here)!
We are thrilled to expand our mission and look forward to welcoming the next generation of young women into this transformative experience.
This is our signature program. The PHFAMOESCEF partners with outside organizations to provide matching scholarships to D.C. residents. Our membership organizations can also partner with other D.C. based organizations by having donors make scholarship donations to the Foundation. The Foundation will donate funds on behalf of the membership organization. The D.C. organizations must already have active scholarship programs and provide scholarships to D.C. residents.
This year, the PHFAMOESCEF decided to partner with College Bound Inc. College Bound Inc.’s mission is to prepare public and public charter school students in the metropolitan D.C. area to enter college, earn a degree, and achieve their personal and professional goals. By partnering with College Bound Inc., the Foundation was able to achieve our goal of partnering with the Grob Family Scholarship Foundation, an organization that has been providing scholarships through College Bound Inc. for over 10 years. The program was held on May 17, 2023 at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Performing Arts Center.
The program theme was “Continue” which encouraged the students to continue to achieve their goals no matter what may come before them. Executive Director Kenneth Ward provided opening remarks and Zion Kelley, a former College Bound Mentoring Program Alumni who graduated from Florida A& M University, was the guest speaker. Scholarship Awards were presented to students who demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the mentoring program.
The PHFAMOESCEF and the Grob Family Scholarship Foundation partnered to give three (3) $10,000 scholarships to seniors graduating from a public high school in Washington, DC.
